What is the Digital Benchmark?

The Digital Benchmark is a detailed report on digital media spending, prepared by United Brands Association (UBA) and United Media Agencies (UMA).

This report contains data on the net advertising expenditures of participating agencies and advertisers, covering various digital formats such as:

  • Display
  • Online video
  • Paid Social
  • SEA (Search Engine Advertising)
  • DOOH (Digital Out-Of-Home)

The report provides an overview of the integration of digital in the media mix of 44 economic sectors.

Why participate?

The Digital Benchmark is an essential tool for advertisers looking to optimize their digital strategy. By participating, you contribute to a more complete and representative view of the market. In addition, you will receive a detailed report with specific data for your sector, as well as benchmarks that will help you refine your future media investments.

How to participate?

Participating is easy:

  • Answer two simple questions about the way you buy online media, whether it's online display, video, social, search, etc.
  • Receive and fill out the Excel form: After completing the questionnaire, you will receive an email with an Excel form. Fill out this form with your digital media spendings.
  • Send the form to Fidelius: Send the completed Excel file directly to Fidelius, our external partner who ensures the confidentiality of your data.

Confidentiality assured

  • You send the completed Excel file directly to Fidelius (studie@fideliusgdw.be), a bailiff, who ensures full confidentiality.
  • Fidelius consolidates the data into a final report.

Who should fill out the Excel file?

The person within your organization who has the necessary information. This is typically the person responsible for the media buying budgets, particularly for digital media.
